I maintain that a headlamp is the best gift you can give someone!! Not only is it handy for camping adventures and power outages, but it's also helpful for those moments when you get lost outdoors in a strange, new country after dusk and want to get home before the wild boars come out at night (true story). The trick is making sure said headlamp is on hand for when such incidents occur :)
Thanks Cort, I'll bear it in mind. I am bringing 2, actually, the second one for work. I use them for paps, and I expect it'll be usefull for sewing up vaginal tears, esp. if the lighting is poor.
